Unable to retrieve information

The app just opens to a screen where I input my zip and then select my TV provider but when I click next I just get the unable to retrieve information error. I couldnt care less about this apps guide function, just want the remote, but now I cant even access that. Trying to be too much has ruined what used to be a good tool.
