Not a bad app but poor replacement for Sonys Media Remote.
Not a bad app but poor replacement for Sonys Media Remote.
Needs to allow for default to remote instead of guide.
This product needs a product manager to define what it does and how. It is a hodgepodge of functionality that sometimes looks good (like the TV listings that dont really integrate with my cable box) or doesnt work at all (doesnt see my Sony TV, which I can stream to with DLNA devices).
Handy to keep track of listings for my OTA antenna. Only problem I have is that whenever theres an update, I lose all my channel settings. Always have to re-input the channels I receive and its getting to be a pain.
This app used to be a convenient way to turn on/off my Bravia. After updating the app it no longer connects to the network, rendering it useless.
I pull in my TV channels over-the-air (OTA), i.e. with an antenna, and I loved the programme guide in version 2.10, but with the "upgrade" to ver. 2.11 the app forgot all my channels and couldnt be reprogrammed. It probably was still fine for cable or satellite reception. Version 2.12.0 has fixed the OTA listing bug and the app works great. I much prefer using it to using the Rovi listing app on my Sony Bravia. As an added bonus, if your remote is mislaid or dies, the app includes TV remote functionality, at least for Sony units.
All I want is a remote, old app worked well but is now constantly served pop-ups advertising this app. There is no way to set up the app so the default screen is the remote.
I just updated to the newest version and it wont even open. Just a blank white screen.
I have my cable box connected via HDMI input and whenever I change the channel it switches to the TV input and goes black and white fuzzy then I have to switch the input back 0 out of 5 stars because it does not work at all. Good app idea, bad functionality.
Great App! Love It Very Much
Was awesome when I had iPhone 4s, but now with the 6s, when you open it up, it just goes to a blank, white screen. Thats it.
Worked fine on iOS 8 but now on iOS 9 I just get a blank screen when you start up on both my devices
I used the app "media remote" from Bell tv satellite provider, now they have merged to this app it no longer work since Bell satellite it not recognized by this app, only support Bell Fibe or one of the 2 Videotron service
App works well, especially with my Sony 4K TV and BD. However, I much prefer the layout of the old Media Remote when it comes to using my 1800ES receiver. With the Media Remote I am able to directly select the input that I want, whereas with this app I need to scan through the various inputs until I get to the input that I want. It would be great if this could be fixed in the next update!
Despite being able to do a lot of things with the physical remote, being able to turn on your tv from your phone is pretty cool
Well done Sony
It didnt work with my Sony smart tv but Ill give it 2 stars because the app looks ok.
No support for Bell or Shaw satellite TV
I wanted a remote, I didnt even see controls. Just channels...
This app sounded just like what I need to improve on my Sony Bravia fiddley on screen keyboard. But a read of the Privacy statement reveals it passes on to the social spying companies your personal info. To trash it goes, before even running it once.
