Everything works great. I would change one thing, the option for haptic feedback.

Its not a remote at all, its just a program guide and not even a complete one. I already deleted the app.

The main reason for me to use this app is the remote feature. It does connect to my BDP-S3700 Blu Ray player and everything on the remote does work EXCEPT the keyboard. Its a pain the enter search terms with the standard remote and pecking out the letters on the screen. I was hoping to use my iOS keyboard. But when I select Search in Netflix or Amazon Video and then tap the keyboard in the app, I get a message that it cannot send text because there is not a text input field on the screen (even though there is). The Roku app works great with the Roku but this one is useless to me.

The one function that I would use the app for doesnt work on iOS. Why even put the mic icon on the remote layout in the first place if you cant use it?

I downloaded this app, but do not use cable or anything, just an antenna and WiFi for the apps, and I have no problems with it. It even helps when I cant find the remote because I can turn the TV on with my phone and still use apps and stuff. Plus the guide displays more schedules in this app than it does on the guide in the TV itself.

The remote connects swiftly to my Sony Bravio smart-tv and within 3 seconds tops I can change my volume or click play on Netflix. I dont know about the cable menus but honestly this is the #1 app if you need a simple remote control option on your phone.

Read a lot of reviews first, so I hesitated but it turns out that it works perfect on my set, an x850c. I dunno what the challenge other folks are seeing, but I like it.

All the features are great, except that it wont let me turn on the TV. Isnt that one of the main functions of a remote control?

Sideview is an awful app. Every time there is an update, we have to re-register our Sony Bluray players to be able to use the app with them, which is very time consuming on this poorly designed app. I have no desire to use this to find TV stations, the Uverse app does it better anyway. I just want to run our Bluray players with my iPhone, and Sony makes it very difficult. This app is so bad, Ill never buy Sony AV equipment again.

Update 11: The app still hangs for 15 to 20 seconds when doing anything. Launch it, it hangs. Try to load the DLNA shares, it hangs. Try to list the files, it hangs. Another crap app by a crap company. 11 updates and they havent fixed this issue. Obviously they couldnt give fly rats behind about these reviews. I just hope someone deciding on buying a Sony product who comes across this review understands that buying it will be nothing but utter frustration and wasted time. Please do yourself a favor and buy something else. Youll be much happier. Sony does not care about their customers. Theyll do anything to make a sell. Once youve purchased something, youre on your own. Update 10: Sure change the name of the app without actually fixing the locking and freezing issue. Lipstick on a pig. This is pure trash just like any other Sony product. Stay away from their hardware and this garbage they call software! Update 9: New design, same garbage, crap app that hangs all the time when trying to fetch DLNA shares. Cant expect much else from the king of incompetent consumer electronics: Sony. Shameful. Update 8: Still hanging and unusable. How many times does one have to say it? Garbage. Update 7: Another sh*t update to a sh*t product from Sony. The full incompetence of Sony on display. Shame. Update 6: This is still broken. The interface still locks up. Sonys incompetence at full display. Update 5: Sure update the app to make TV guide available in Ukraine but its pointless because it is a useless hanging crap written by incompetent coders and released by a clueless company. How long and many times do we have to tell you people that the app is constantly hanging. Youre doing networking in the main thread which blocks the UI. Pick up a book or just read the Apple documentation. Of course youre not intelligent enough to realize youre doing it so wrong. I cant expect more from Sony, honestly. Theyve proven time and time again that theyre incompetent and clueless. Update 4: Yet another update that doesnt fix the hanging. Guys, read this: dont block the UI when performing network operations. Thats not OK. Learn some programming and fix this! Stop relegating this stuff to the interns. Hire a proper programmer. Update 3: Five updates that were supposed to “improve the operation” of the app but not one has actually fixed the hanging issue. Here’s a hit: don’t use the UI thread to run background, networking code. That one’s free you incompetent dumbs. Update 2: Another useless update that does NOT fix any of the hanging issues. Looks like it was just updated to clear out the old unfavorable reviews. Shame. Update 1: The latest update was supposed to "improve the operation" of the app but instead has rendered it totally broken. The intermittent hanging and freezing issue of the past releases has now completely broken this app. Utterly useless. Sony are a hardware company and have no idea how, or the competence, to produce software, and this garbage is a clear example of that incompetence. This is the last Sony TV Im ever buying. No wonder other companies are eating their lunch.

New update 4.1 will not install. App is now useless

Works perfectly with my two XBR55x850c TVs, one in my bedroom and one in my living room. Before making a fool of yourself, please make sure your TV is actually compatible with the app, and you actually provide valuable feedback, unlike one of the temporally challenged individuals leaving one star reviews. The app controls everything, and can seamlessly switch between the two TVs and can navigate the UI smoothly. Linked easily with my set top box and can browse the program guide as well. An absolutely invaluable asset as I hate using multiple remotes. Have had zero issues with hangs or crashes on my iPhone 6s running iOS 9.3.

Cannot figure why it will not find my device / tv. Have the same tv as the previous reviewer do I do not know what the heck the issue is. I have literally tried everything.

Not sure who are the brilliant deva for this app but having the newest version spam you that you have to upgrade and the actual app does not work because its not detecting the latest version is just silly.

I was hesitant to download at first when I found out about this smart app remote for my Sony XBR Ultra 4k 850c. I went ahead and gave it a shot and installed the app. The setup was fairly easy. I added both my TV and BD (BDP S6500) as devices and now I have this one intelligent remote on my iPhone 6s. I love it!

Not compatible with any of the Sony products I own. I cannot use it with my TV, receiver, blu-rayy player or PS3.

Everything but the keyboard works which is the main reason to use the app. All text entry fields are not allowing input from app keyboard. Please fix this.
