The newest version

The newest version has removed the ability to see information about episode that is being shown instead it was replaced with what the creator of the app felt was similar shows, stuff to buy from the show, and the ability to share on social media. I really do not care about such things I would rather have a synopsis of the episode. The other thing I wish the app had was the Ability to know if the program was a new for that time period episode.

Non-remote

In order to be classified as a remote it must have the basic function of being able to change channels. Well this lacks that ability and therefore 1 star. I dont care if other functions work. I want to send the selected channel to the tv and I am unable. Fix it or pull it

Not working microphone

Google search with microphone doesnt work. Any search with microphone doesnt work.

To limited no flexible to update channel list.

Try to update the list of TV channels for my DTV receiver and could not do it.

Please Incorporate 3D Touch

I love this app, but would like to see a 3D Touch shortcut to go straight to the remote.

Terrible Functionality

Too frustrating to use. Every time you launch the app you it has to reload all the channels and verify locations. This is like a 4 step process before you can use it. Then, after all that, it cant even turn on the TV. Signal always drops even if youre connected to the same wifi. I wish you guys get better developers to redo this app

Useless

App is a disaster, even worse since 3.0. The connection drops every time you navigate to a different app on your phone, have to exit and reconnect every time you back to the app. When I power on the TV with the app, it has no sound until I turn t off and then back on. My harmony remote works just fine. New in 3.0, it constantly asks if I want to turn the device on, when it is already on, and then searches forever for it but never connects. Lost all functionality. Really would be great if Sony could fix this!

New version doesnt recognize my receiver

It worked fine on the previous version, now it wont find my STR-DN850.

I dont like it...

I do have Bravia Sony, but this app never, never worked with dish receiver. This app is a cable guy app. If you want me to give a good review fix the problem the and the remote should work with dish receiver too not only cable TV. Otherwise a waste of time for me. :(

It works well

Works well for my Blu-ray player. Just give me a remote app without all the extra junk.

Bring Back Old App

The older version worked great. Now I can not even get past the TV Provider page. I do not have a TV Provider so it will not allow me past this page. I even selected Local Over the Air Broadcast and still no luck. This day in age a fair amount of people just utilize their smart TV for Apple TV, Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube. I used this remote for the basic TV functions such as volume but guess that is not even an option now. So much for the convenience of using my phone as a remote.

Perfect

Iove

Doesnt discover devices across subnets

Please add the capability to work across subnets.

Reinitializes channels every time the app starts

I like the fact that I can have an additional remote. The main problem is that the channel keep updating everytime I start the app which makes this feature useless.

Broken

Works for a couple seconds than it stops

Broken.

Updated review 2/22/16: New version, new bugs. Remote knows the TV is there but refuses to connect. Same IP, same subnet on IPv4; IPv6 fares no better. On a side note, wheres Marshmallow for these TVs? The Lollipop is getting stale. Original review: The program guide is pretty useful. Multiple remote types built-in (standard keypad, "flick" remote, trackpad) is useful. Its a little slow to connect, but it works fine on my iPad Air, my iPhone 4s, my iPhone 5s, and my iPod Touch 6. A few features that would be useful: Screenshots from the TV in native resolution A keyboard that worked for any text input Opening right to your preferred remote Custom keypad interface Second screen functionality that allows one to view whats on the TV screen on your device Direct bluetooth connection to the TV for game control Audio stream from TV to phone for late night viewing Siri integration A widget for show reminders and quick access to functions like volume, channel, and power

Worthless

This app is a piece of crap. The most useful part of the app, the keyboard doesnt work. It keeps saying the TV does not display a text input screen but it does!! If the keyboard cant be used with the apps on the TV WHY EVEN PUT THE APP OUT. The guide is useless as well. Does not display the correct channels. The guide also list the channels in some weird random order that I cant figure out. The only thing that does work is the volume control for the TV and that only works sometimes. You would think SONY could come up with something that works.

Remote keyboard doesnt work

The one reason I downloaded this app was to have a keyboard for use with my Sony Blu-ray player. The app connects to the Sony Blu-ray player just fine, and the remote feature even allows me to control the player from my phone without the physical remote. But none of that is really helpful. What I needed was the keyboard feature to work so I dont have to type text using the stupid little wheel for each letter. Every time I try to use the keyboard it gives an error. So this app is a fail.

This POS Keeps Resetting My Guide Preferences

keeps Resetting My Channel List Preference in My Program Guide Stations Every Time The App Updates Getting Sick Of Having To Search For My Channels All The Time To Set up my list again And again! Also Should Be Able To Sync Lists Between The Tv And The App!!!!!!

Doesnt Work in the Slightest

I downloaded this for the remote. The first version I had worked fine! Now, it cant even find my tv. Yes, both my phone and tv are connected to the same network and yes, they are both on but nothing. Even when I manually enter the IP address. Id even be willing to pay for this app IF it worked but it doesnt at all and its pretty disappointing.
