Not sure what all the poor reviews were about. I downloaded this app on my iPhone and it found my Bravia 850c on the wifi network immediately. Within 1 minute I had full control of my tv from my iPhone. Im not planning to use any of the TV guide features. This is a handy "digital remote control" app.

App was never smooth but I could get it to work by reconnecting every time I returned to the app. Now that I updated the app a day or so it worked great for a day it was much faster and smoother but now it is stuck on the locate service provider screen and I get cannot retrieve info errors. I was considering another Sony blue ray player but may go Apple TV instead

With every update, I have lost more and more functionality. Like why did they remove the little orange AMP button? Thats the button I used to turn on my sound bar. Now when switching to remote function of app, "remote fails to connect" until about the 7th attempt.

Qwerty doesnt work and was the whole reason I downloaded it

Terrible. Just got my new Bravia installed today, saw the www browser- cant use reg remote for inputting letters so thought I would give this a try; its the same remote, nothing special about it and not an easy interface! So Im dissatisfied with both options- I will just use my Roku again.

Cannot connect network. Every single morning. Intrusive guide. Who cares for a guide? I just want to use the blessed remote. Channel line up request daily. What a joke of an app Sony. The programmer has no clue.

The app just opens to a screen where I input my zip and then select my TV provider but when I click next I just get the unable to retrieve information error. I couldnt care less about this apps guide function, just want the remote, but now I cant even access that. Trying to be too much has ruined what used to be a good tool.

Was great! Now when I try to use the remote, I get connection failed errors. If I do eventually get through, I get severe lag or complete non function. Very frustrating. It hasnt always been this way - please update and fix!

Would not connect to Sony BluRay player.

I just want a remote for my receiver. Not a TV guide. This app forces you to download the listing update every time you turn it on. Waste of time. I went back my three remote control set up. If you havent committed to Sony dont let their advertising fool you. Their remote app is a cumbersome junk. If controlling your system with your smart phone is important to you choose another manufacturer.

Like many other reviews, every time I open the app it asks me to update the channel information. Very annoying. When do you plan on fixing it?

I have an iPhone 4 and after the update I cant open the app, it simply crash at the loading screen. Before that, it was a really great app.

This app works great with my Sony Wifi blu ray player. Very useful alternative to the remote that comes with the player. Perhaps its my connection, but my only (extremely minor/negligible) complaint is a very slightly lag when you push a button vs the players response. Im glad I found this app

Why on earth is this not compatible with the Sony Bravia KDL-60EX645 I paid a lot for just over a year ago?

Worked when first installed. Not working any more today ... Wont updated TV schedules for Rogers in Canada.
